cannot access system restore

I just did a repair installation of XP Home and I cannot
access system restore. I keep getting the
message: "rstrui.exe-Entry Point Not Found; The procedure
entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could
not be located in the dynamic link library.dll". I would
greatly appreciate some help on how to rectify this
problem.
