Well, you could boot by CD with Win XP inside.
1) You should not select the "Repair" option but rather
select the "Install a fresh windows".
2) You should select the partition labelled with
letter "C" to install windows rather any others partition.
3) You should not select "Quick Format" or "Leave it as
intact" but rather do a real long format with NTFS.
4) accept defaults for the rest.
Post Installation
5) You should connect to www.Symantec.com -> find ->
Symantec Security Check-> let symantec scan you compt to
check for virus or worm.
I hope your windows version is an authenticate Microsoft
Windows XP rather than the version sold in local Chinese
store or bought online from China.
