Under "My Computer" I have 3 HDD's, 1 CD-ROM, 1 CD-R/W.

The icons for a couple of these are wrong (i.e. the icon
for one of the HDD's is a CD drive). The links access
the right storage medium but the icons being wrong is an
annoyance.

I recently used "Disk Management" to reassign drive
letters for a CD-ROM drive and a "data only" HDD and I
think that was the cause of the problem.

Can you tell me how to select icons for these storage
medium?

Many thanks. . .

See if there AUTORUN file(s) in the root of these drives. Delete them
then.
