View Full Version : Why do all my new windows open minimized to the taskbar?

Something has changed in my computer recently that is
driving me crazy.

Everytime I open a new window, it opens up to the taskbar
in it's minimized size. Then I have to right click it and
choose "maximize" for it to be open.
I have asked this question several times here, but it
seems nobody at Microsoft can come up with an answer.

Is there a registry setting that tells the system to open
all windows to maximum as the default?

Right click on the shortcut to the window, select properties and see what's
in the "Run:" window. If it's Minimized, change it to Normal window or
Maximize.
