Hi,
I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I have a Dell
computer with XP. My grandson was playing games-Global
Operations (at the time) and somehow the game changed my
display. He has other games loaded too, but he was not
playing those. My screen shrank on both sides where I
have a black screen about 1 i/4" on either side of my
display. The display also looks a little distorted,
longer than wider like looking in a funhouse mirror. Not
bad, but there. I tried using system restore which
usually fixes screw ups, but it didn't work. I am a
novice at this so I don't like messing around too much
with all this for fear I'll make it worse. I would
appreciate any help offered. Thanks,
Lucy

It sounds like he tinkered with the monitor controls. There should be knobs
or buttons on the front, bottom, top, or side of your monitor to adjust the
screen, it varies from brand to brand. Locate those controls and adjust them
to get your screen back to normal.
