Installing upgrade of XP from ME

When trying to install upgrade of XP get error message
winntbbu.dll is missing. Gateway said this a file that is
missing from the installation disc. How do I get this file.

Hi,

That file should be on the disk as winntbbu.dl_ in the I386 folder of the
upgrade disk. If it is not being copied over correctly, then you have
something interfering with the installer. Please read the preparatory steps
for upgrading on this link:
