you asked me if they all go away when doing a full
clearing of COOKIES,HISTORY,TEMP INTERNET....the answer
is no. Not even in Win 95 or 98 do they go away.
They are hidden even when you use the option to hide
no files. The only way you can see them is to make a copy
of any of the 3 files and paste it say on desktop. Then
open the copy and there it is. Not really sure what info
is gathered there, but in Win 95 or 98 the same would
happen that over about 6 to 12 months these dat files
just keep growing little by little. I used to clear them
on 95 and 98 about every 4-6 months. It seemed to speed
up the Internet Explorer when I did.
