does anyone know of a utility i can use to force users to
logoff after a certain length of inactivity. i tried
bouncer but it doesnt work on xp and they don't plan on
making the changes

Take a look at winexit.hlp/winexit.scr in the Win2k3 Server Resource Kit.
The Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit downloadable from

i am not using w2k3 my servers are win2000 does that
matter?

Hi
The screensaver is to be installed (copied to the system32 folder) of the
clients, so it doesn't matter what OS the server is running. I just tested the
winexit.scr in the Win2k3 Server Resource Kit on a Win2k Pro computer, and it
worked fine, and it will surely work ok on a WinXP computer.
