Chris,

Boot from your Windows ME startup disk.
Use FDISK to delete all partitions.

Then, boot from your Windows ME CDROM and install.

You may need to fiddle with the BIOS settings to get the correct boot
priority options.

Chris,

A Win98 startup disk should work as well.
Just boot it up, and type "fdisk".
You should be able to figure it out from there.

Hi Chris,

Boot a WinME startup floppy. If WinXP is using NTFS, then run fdisk and
remove the non-dos partition. Then create a promary DOS partition (answer
yes to the question about large disk support to get FAT32). Exit fdisk.

Boot (or reboot if you just ran fdisk) to the floppy, run FORMAT C:, load CD
drivers and proceed to install WinME.

It should be on your boot floppy, if you don't have one you can download and
create one from bootdisk.com.

You need to access the bios and set the boot order so the floppy boots
before the hard drive. Also look at the Format link.
Click on the link below, or copy and paste the link into the address box
if using the web based newsgroup.

The first $30 is just for walking out, getting into, and starting the car !
