View Full Version : nee dto reinstall office assistant but how?
I no longer have word as a program option. I can only get
to it by opening an existing file. once I have done this
it opens with a message stating I need to reinstall the
office assitant. I click ok and am then told files not
found. any one know how to fix these problems without
wiping my hard drive clear (a complete reinstalling of xp
home)?
any suggestions would be appriciated.

MS Word is not part of the Windows XP operating system. It's either =
provided as part of an MS Office or Works suite, or it's a standalone =
application
Normally, most of the MS apps offer a repair option when its own setup =
program is run again.
If still no joy, post your question to an Office or Word newsgroup.
