Lost all my old emails when I upgraded to XP?

I can't get outlook to display my old emails that were in
my inbox before I upgraded. I tried the Import function in
Outlook, but it gives me an error saying that the
directory I'm tryng to import from is already in use by
outlook. So did my emails get deleted?

I tried the File and Settings Transfer but that didn't
work either.

Help!

Hello Claire, I'm wondering if you SAVED your old 'INBOX'
before you installed Win-XP?????

If you did not, then they are Toast!! (same thing happened to me)

Nope, I didn't save anything. That is really awful.
Something that should be highlighted in the booklet to do
BEFORE you start.
