isi it possible (and if so how) to set file level
permissionsand folder level permissions for local users
on XP proffessional? I have one admin and one user
(limited) account. I only wish to keep the limited user
out of a reletively low number of folders. It seems
overly labourious to drag 95% of my folders to the shared
folder. just get me pointed in the right direction.
Thanx

On XP Pro? Turn off "simple file sharing" and you'll find things get a lot
more like you want them to be. From a windows explorer window, open tools,
folder options, select the 'view' tab, and remove the tick from "use simple
file sharing" which is an option down at the bottom of the list.
You should now have a lot more control over shares and permissions on all
folders on your system no matter where they are.
