Is it possible to get the Service Pack 1 (not 1a) for Windows XP for free??? I purchased Windows XP, does that entititle me to free updates to SP1?

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=322389 will let you download
all service packs for free. If you want a CD, it will cost something.

Yes, SP1 is free, but it has been revised to SP1a by elimination of
the Microsoft Virtual Machine.
