Easiest way is to visit Sun's website and download their Java plugin for IE.

MS no longer distributes a Java VM.
You will need to obtain one elsewhere, as from Sun.

I was under the impression that this will only work=20
if WU sees the MS JVM already installed, in which=20
case it is a service update download and istall.
If it does not see the JVM I was under impression=20
the new 3810 build will not install.=20
Misimpression ?

I recently ran into the same problem and downloaded Java VM from Sun's
website. It didn't work for me. I later went through Microsoft's
Windows Update and downloaded Microsoft VM. Now it works.

Hopefully the injunction will be only temporary, and=20
greater reason then prevails.
