It is possible, but I wouldn't reccommend it: you see, if
you deny access toc: drive, other users will not be able
to run ANY program or file. A much easier way to protect
you private or important documents is to store them in
your "My Documents" folder. Important!!! You must have
your drive formatted with NTFS to utilise XP's security
features. Check the details of your hard drive, and if it
isn't already formatted with NTFS, go to "Run" on your
start menu, type "cmd" then type "convert c: /fs:ntfs" If
you drive is NTFS, then create a limited account (go to
Control Panel, "Accounts") Experiment with this new
account, you will notice that a liited user can browse c:
drive, but important files are protected, so that Limited
user can not delete or move them. Now, go to My
Computer, go to Documents and Settings, select YOUR
folder (i/e the folder that contains your personal files
and settings). Now double-click on "My Documents" and
you will notice that Limited User can not access this
folder at all, so you can be confident storing your
impportant files in there. If you want to get really
advanced, you can Disable Simple File Sharing, but I
wouldn't recommend this. Like i said, you can really
mess thigs up if you play with security setting too
much. Hope this helps.
