Could someone tell me how I can find out the time of day my win xp machine
was visiting certain web site's (in the history view). For instance by
looking at say last Friday you can see that maybe 11 web sites were visited,
but how
do you (can you) tell what time of day it was?

I do not know how to get at that info from History, but=20
you could try exploring into the IE (I assume this is not=20
with Opera or other) cache at=20
Documents and Settings\<account>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
and sort with the headings at the top.
