I recently re-installed Windows XP Pro and had the "access denied"
error message when I tried to access "My Document" folder sitting on
primary slave hard drive. I did a little search online and found that
I can gain control of my files by taking ownership. I went to this
website by Microsoft
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q308421 and
follow the steps to grant myself(not the admin, although I am an admin
too) ownership.
Here is my problem:
I can now gain access to all the "folders" in "My Document", but I
still get the "access denied" error message when I try to
access/copy/move "files" that are inside hidden and encrypted folders
in "My Document".
It's sort of like this
My Document (I can access now)
- Folder A (Normal Folder. I can access the folder and its content)
- Folder B (Originally had the hidden and encrypt attribute. I can
access this folder, but not its content)
What's wrong? What should I do? I have my most important data sitting
in these folders!
Thank you for replying.
