I am having a similar situation. A *friend* looked at my
computer, and put in a few new components from another
computer. I am now not able to login as administrator.
The password has changed and I have not reset it. Anyone
have suggestions?? I have tried all my passwords and I
also tried 1234, 01234, 012345, 12345, password.

frustrated and I need to access my files!!

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
