Hello everyone!

I'm an IT Technician for a engineering/consulting
company. Were trying to find easy ways to navigate our
folders, which we have an immense ammount of. One
suggestion we have been trying is with working with .htt
files involving adding some folder comments, and then
using a bot to search the .htt files for text in the .htt
files folder comments to solve this issue.

However, we also use Win XP, and I know Win XP doesnt
seem to support .htt files anymore, also, there does not
seem to be a way to add comments to folders, although
there is a column for it in explorer.

I've searched throughout the internet for a few hours now
with no luck, is anyone able to tell me how to do folder
commenting in WinXP, or offer a viable alterantive?

Thank you very much

Hi

And as Neil is posting from the Web interface and can't
get to the attachment, here is the content of the
desktop.ini that David attached:

PersistMoniker=file://Folder Settings\Folder.htt

[ExtShellFolderViews]

[.ShellClassInfo]
IconFile=D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\shell32.dll
IconIndex=41

InfoTip=An optional description for the folder that displays in a pop up tip and web view when selected
ConfirmFileOp=0
