Restore Prior Desktop Configuration

Is there a way to restore a prior desktop layout in
windows xp pro? My son logged onto his account and
deleted all the desktop shortcuts not realizing that it
would take effect in my account as well. Thanks for any
help out there.

Well, system restore is a rather extreme way to handle it. If you want to
copy shortcuts from the start menu, you can drag them into C:\Documents and
Settings\<your user name>\Desktop instead of the all users desktop, and
they'll only appear for you and not your son.
