I presume you have it set to that the text is on a transparent background,
in which case you are stuck with the white on a black shadow. If you have it
on a solid color, you can then change the font color at the expense of
getting back those ugly color blocks again.

Chris- Thanks for your info. What my problem is...I have
a desktop pic that is white...that's why I want the icon
font color to be black. As far as I have been able to
find out...this feature is no longer available. It was
available in W2K and older...but not in XP.
