View Full Version : hide explore folders

I have a folder in drive c that I "explore" frequently.
I want to find a way to hide all folders except this
folders' subfolders.

In other words, I want to se c:/folder in the "folders"
pane at the left, but not c:/windows, c:/program files,
and the other contents of c.

Another thing that would work is to have my folder act as
the root folder, not displaying the folders above it. I
have seen something like this in the console.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Right click the shortcut to Windows Explorer and select Properties/Shortcut
tab.

In the Target line, enter the following path:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe C:\<your folder>

Where <your folder> is the folder you want to be displayed and open. In the
Run line, select "Maximized" from the drop down menu. (Note the space
between exe and C:)

Apply/OK and double click the shortcut.

I already have it set up that way. Great tip, by the
way. That is not what I need.

I use the folder and it's contents a lot, but nothing
else in "explore" view. I want everything in the explore
pane to dissapear except that folder and its contents.
