View Full Version : Ramdrive with WindowsXP

Does anyone know how to get a ramdrive with WindowsXP?
XP comes with what appears to be a ramdrive driver,
windows\i386\ramdisk.sy_ (although the Win95 version was
called ramdrive.sys, and it was a larger file). XP also
comes with zero-byte autoexec.bat and config.sys files in
the C:\ directory, but I haven't been able to get either
of them to execute on bootup. I tried moving them to
c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\
startup, but I got no response from them in that folder
either.

Does anyone have the solution?

There is nothing included with Windows XP for a Ramdisk, but there are free and
