I am trying to change group policy on one of my machines.
Help and Support tells me to:

1. Click START and then click RUN
2. Type gpedit.msc and then click OK

When I do that I get a box that says Windows cannot open
this file... Windows needs to know what program created
it. The box then suggests that I can select a program
from a list or go online to select a program. This has
happened with other .msc files. Does anyone know what is
going on?

Thanks
Ron

It looks like the association between mmc.exe and the .msc files has been
broken. You should be able to open it manually with this command:

"mmc %systemroot%\system32\gpedit.msc"
