Hi Tia,

If you are using the Windows XP Professional, we can do the following steps
to configure this.

1. Click Start > Run
2. Input gpedit.msc and click OK
3. We can configure the settings in the

User Configuration > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer Maintenance

and

User Configuration > Adminstrative Templates > Windows Components >
Internet Explorer

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu

| Thank you both for your questions.
|
| I want to be able to disable the ability of OE and IE to get to the
network
| for testing purposes. I am able to accomplish this, yes by unplugging the
| network cable, but also in OE6.00.2800.1106 through the File menu, Work
| Offline option. I prefer software or reg hack rather than to crawl
behind
| my PC to unplug the cable.
|
| Any ideas how to do what OE is able to simply by checking the Work Offline
| option in the File menu? If not I'll just continue to use OE since it
does
| what I need. I was just looking for a cleaner/easier way.
