Stoping programs from running automaticly on Start Up

How do I stop programs that start running when I start my
PC? Where do I ned to go to find the list

Go to START > RUN and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter. Then look
under the STARTUP tab for programs you do not want to start. Uncheck
those and click APPLY.

In addition to what Nicholas suggests, you may also look for shortcuts to
programs at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
