i am running xp pro, and recently wiped my hard drive and reloaded xp pro
(same exact version as before). before i wiped the drive, when i would go
to share a folder i was able to set user permissions on the folder, only
allowing certain network users to access that folder. now, it appears i do
not have that option ... i cannot add individual share rights. i kind of
remember doing something last time to get this feature working, but have no
memory.
help??
thanks :: sg

Stewie;
You must be using NTFS file system.
You must Disable Simple File Sharing:

If your files and folders don't have permission settings any more, it's
probably because you're using the FAT32 (DOS-style) file system instead of
NTFS.
CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS (at least, that's the command under Windows 2000)
