I am currently living in a Fraternity house on Ga Tech's
campus so people are on my computer when I don't know it.
They print things off and I don't want them to cause Ink
is expensive. I was wondering how to set my computer up
so that to print you have to enter a password? I have
tried differene things but can't make it work. My
computer was changed out of FAT32 formate to the FTS
format. I have been told just to lock the computer or
create other users but i forget to log off every time i
leave. I have seen on a lot of public computers where
they have set it up where when you click the print button
it asks for a password to continue. Thanks a lot if you
can help.

Go to Control Panel, Printers and Faxes. Right click your printer and
select Properties, then Security. Change the permissions so that only your
username has Print permissions. Also, right click your Desktop, select
Properties, Screen Saver and set a screen saver. Also check the option for
On resume......... so that it will ask for a password to use the computer
when is been idle.
