would someone give me the "command prompt for "FDISK"?
I've installed an 80 gig hard drive in the slave position
in my Compaq Presario 5BW220. I've already been through
CMOS set-up and now need to "format". Thanks

Or startup in DOS, change directory to the letter of the new drive and
then when the command prompt shows that you are at that directory, run
"fdisk" by typing "fdisk" e.g.:
C:/> cd E:/
E:/> fdisk

I am interested in reading about installation
of new hard drive which you are about to format using fdisk.
I am unable to boot into an extra hard drive
(40gg)which is external/removable and connected
through usb port to my Sony Vaio Laptop.
Can anyone suggest where I may download
the necessary drivers to modify my bios
so that usb harddrive can be bootable ?
My floppy disk drive is connected through
usb port and it is bootable.
