Don't Reside on the Task Bar

Is there any way to prevent a window from taking up space on either the task bar or the notification area? I guess that might mean removing the minimize button, since there would be no where to minimize to. Is a skinning program the only way to achieve this? Does anyone know a good trick for this?

Hi Diggy,

Try KStray from Kelly's find sight. It will allow you to minimize any program to the system tray as an icon, instead of the tool bar.
