A friend (no, not me..) upgraded XPHome with XPPro. But it
was a corp licensed edition, with apparently some policies
set somewhere. Everything works just fine, Internet
access outside of AOL, access to AOL stuff, etc. But
while logged onto AOL, she cannot enter an Internet URL in
the AOL browser and go anywhere.
When AOL boots, there is an error message to restart PC
and try again, but nothing else.
Is there a policy set somewhere in this XP which prevents
tunneling of some sort thru a proxy? I think that is what
happens when you go to the Internet thru AOL. I can't find
it.
Thanks much
