Win xp Product Key

I ahev lost the prod key for xp.
i have not already instaled it but i do have the serial no.
of the disk.

Any ideas how i will get the key?

I'm not sure if the key is considered part of the media or the
documentation, but either way this KB article should help.

If the CD is an OEM one then you must contact the vendor for support (either
the OEM or the person that sold you it with some piece of hardware)
otherwise if it was a retail product then follow Patrick's advice
