possible long term invasion ??

Recently I installed Zone alarm pro and am noticing an
incredible amount of port scans and many other types of to
use a word "attacks" on my computer..My question is why
did I never see this with my xp built in firewall ?? Did
it not stop them or does it by design just not show it ??
As always any help would be appreciated

It is designed to not show them Zonealarm is only for the most paranoid.

same place where you enable it - it makes the most
