View Full Version : Picture and Fax viewer

I am trying to get Agent to automatically open pictures using the default XP
picture and fax viewer. It used to, but know it does not. I had installed
ZoomBrowser software and it changed my default settings. I have since
removed zoombrowser, but some of it's settings seem to remain.
Using Agent, when I try to browse for the picture and fax viewer to tell it
to use it to open the picture, I cannot locate it.
Anyone know the command line for this , perhaps I can type this in and it
will use that?
Thanks,

There is no command line to directly invoke the Picture and Fax viewer. To
re-register it, click Start, Run and enter
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

Thanks Doug, I re-registered it, yet Agent still does not want to open with
it like it used to, maybe I just need to reinstall Agent.

rundll32.exe shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1 will open pictures
%1 is either a file or folder name. If a folder name the first file will =
be displayed. Note first file not first picture file. If the first file =
isn't a picture then you'll see No Preview Available. You can use the =
Next/Previous buttons to cycle through all files in a folder. Does not =
accept wildcards.
