You know, I have the same problem right now on my machine,
except that this happens for all users. If you go into the
Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), there is a setting in
User Configuration>Administrative Templates>Control
Panel>Display to "hide desktop tab." Of course, that
setting is configured correctly for me and I'm *still* not
getting the tab. May work for you though!

You know, I have the same problem right now on my machine,
except that this happens for all users. If you go into the
