i am the admin. on the computer. i am trying to restrict
others from exploring into the c drive and then through
the folders into my 'my documents' folder. as of now, i
couldnt select the keep this folder private option
because i dont think i am the owner. but to change that
it says to look for a security tab under properties,
which there is none, only sharing tab. is it because my
user name is not represented, and all of my documents are
in the default folder? how can i change this, and
restrict others from viewing my files?

You need to be using the NTFS disk format, not fat32, and you need to turn
off simple file sharing.
