I got a message for an autoupdate on XP. The message
said it was a "Q817287", that fixed a security issue. I
tried running a search thru the Microsoft website and saw
no documentaion on it. Is this legit? When I went to
the MS website to check my system, it didn't not come up
with any needed updates. So I was wondering if some
hacker was able to send me a bogus message pretending to
be MS, and this download actually hurt my system.
Thanks,
Tim

Tim;
Are you sure you don't have it installed?

Check your Installation History.
I installed it mid April.

Hi Junipter,
Thanks for the info. Actually, I don't know how to look
up my Install history. Where would I find it?
Thanks,
Tim
