folder views

Anyone know how to get the folder views to work properly.
I actually hate this f****** XP. It's not stable at all,
my flightsim does weird stuff after working just fine
initially. Not to mention other programs.

Anyway, after setting folder view to default details
settings, I go about setting other folders the way I want
them, making sure "remember folder settings" is checked.
But after a while, boom, they change. Even window size is
not stable. What the hell is up with that? I've tried
everything, it's driving me crazy. I'd much rather use
ME, never had a problem with it. But the mafia
(Microsoft) won't allow merchants to sell systems with
anything other than it's latest OS. And of course the
manuf. discs won't have the right drivers if you want to
just wipe it clean and start over. I've tried different
settings but nothing works. Is it just a bug they can't
fix. Sometimes my joystick settings just change in FS2002
and CFS2, as well as my IP software.

Hi Jim,
Download and apply the following edits. They may be able to solve your
problem.

Apply the first edit and then reset the folder views and then apply the
second edit.

Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2)

Reset the folder views through tools>folder options and click on "Reset all
folders"

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)
