Add/Remove Programs problems

Some prevriously installed programs were removed
inproperly, the icon still shows in the add/remove
programs application, how would i go about manually
removing these icons. Regedit?

Yes. A more comfortable way: use the Registry Cleaner from the jv16
Power Tools (http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/index.php).

Hi,

If you are meaning it left an icon in the Control Panel, do a Start/Search
for *.cpl and remove it. If you are meaning there is still a listing under
Add or Remove, it can be removed from here:

Removing Invalid Entries in the Add/Remove Programs Tool
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall
