Please Help Windows XP Directory Security Tab absent

I have Windows XP Professional on my home computer.
I am trying to set up some directory securities to
restrict access to my son to certain directory bu I
cannot find the Security Tab in the directory properties
as it is in Windows 2000.
When I try to find help on the machine it tells me to
exactly that. And the dam thing is not there?

Please help and alliviate my frustration.
