XP Pro
When I first got my new computer with XP Pro, my family and I used the
computer with the default administrator account which did not require a
password. Since then, I've set up 5 other accounts--dad, wife, and 3
kid accounts. The dad account has administrator priveleges.
When I install software, I do it from the "dad" account. However, often
that software is not available for use by the other accounts. This most
frequently happens with games, but even my scanner is not available for
use from any account but the "dad" account (and, I think, the original
adminstrator account).
How do I make software that I install on my ("dad") account available to
all the other users? I know how to block the use of software by other
users via changing the security and sharing options on the software's
folders, but how do I allow use of already installed software?
Other users will often see a message like "this software is not fully
installed on this computer" when they try to use the program.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
