Dear Computer Helpers,
If I go and right click a document, in the General tab,
there is no advanced button to get to the Encrypting File
System (EFS) window. AND I HAVE A LAPTOP!

You don't say if you're running XP Pro or Home. If you're running Home, EFS
is not supported. If you're running Pro, you must have NTFS as your file
system. Additionally, in Windows Explorer go to Tools, Folder Options, View
and uncheck Use Simple File Sharing. This will enable the full Security tab
(Pro only).
