When I do a cold boot I often get a message telling me that my config.sys is
corrupt. When I control+alt+delete I boot up with out incident.
Since I am booting on the second, sometimes third, boot I don't think the
problem is the config.sys file but something in the boot process that leads
up to config.sys. Does this sound correct?
Since this happens only during cold boot my thoughts are running to the MBR.
Would the "fixmbr" command work, and what are the consequences of using the
fixmbr command on a non broken mbr?
