After applying the latest set of updates including .net,
XP will not automatically login even though the guest user
account is disabled. How do I reset XP so I do not have
to login from the welcome screen. My computer is a stand
alone workstation and not part of a domain.

TIA for your help.

Eric

Go Start|Run type in "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and hit
Enter. Highlight your User name in the list and uncheck the box which states
"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Now your
computer should boot straight into Windows as it did before this update :-)
