Ping, pathping and tracert

Hi All,

I am having trouble finding any information regarding
this problem, so I am hoping that some-one will be able
to help me out.

when I do a ping of a hostname, the IP address is droped
from the output and is repleced by a traingle, and other
sybmols.

Where as pathping and tracert just give me error messgaes
of "No Resources" at the fist hop.
