I was curious if the is a registry key that allow for a
default location for images for folder in Thumbnail view.

Hi Mike,
I am not exactly sure what you are asking.
This edit changes Folder Icons all at one time:
Change the Folder Icon &/or Opened Folder Icon (Line 119)
