In my title bar, it still has my old dial connection
name, and I don't know how to change or delete it
completly so it can show my new DSL title. It may not be
important, but it bothers me seeing it up there and
wondering if it has any effect on my surfing and pop up
windows, because they seemed to have increased since I've
changed.

i have tried un-installing everything I know how to and
it is still up there, can you help?

Beth

Hi Beth,

Are you referring to the Internet Explorer title bar? If so, this is how to
fix it:

Start/run regedit, navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

In the right pane. look for a string that reads Window Title, double click
it to change the name or just delete it. Deleting this string will remove
any branding and leave you with just Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Close regedit and open new IE window, the change should be immediate. You
may need to repeat this for any other user profiles.
