Installing apps for 1 user

I have 2 user accounts on my home WinXP system (not
networked). Is there a way to install apps to one user
but not the other?

Usually no. You can remove the shortcuts from the user's Start Menu
and Desktop when you use the personalized START MENU/DESKTOP folders
in C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS. As long as the items are stored under
ALL USERS they are visible in all user profiles.
