I replaced my motherboard and processor and tried to boot
up with my XP Home operating system and I keep
getting "NTLDR Missing" error. I ran through the help
tool my XP disk gives you but with no success. Any help
woul be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Dan, you need to do a repair install. Boot from the XP CD,select Setup
Windows XP, press Enter, press F8 to accept the licensing agreement, press R
for a repair installation. You will have to reload updates.

Steve I ran the repair you have described but still get
the same error. The motherboard is a Assus and the
processor is an Atholon whereas my old board and processor
were Intel. Thanks!!

Boot off a startup disc, and copy the NTLDR from your WINXP cd's I386
folder to you C:\root directory. No repair or updates needed.
A good idea is to keep copies of NTLDR, NTDETECT and your boot.ini
files on a bootable disk. For emergencies.........
