desktop background

when i have a desktop background chosen in my properties
it show as that background being used however when i
return back to desktop the background is just plain
blue . please help as its got me totally confuseed

Hi Mark,
After choosing the desired background in the desktop properties, hit apply
to set it as the current background. Merely selecting it would not set it as
the current background.
